The Department of Magical Law Enforcement is the most extensive and important department in the Ministry. 1997-1998

Pius Thicknesse

Placed under Imperius Curse by Death Eaters, became puppet Minister. Previously competent official corrupted by dark magic. Enforced anti-Muggle-born legislation.

Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes

Level: Level 3 | Function: Emergency Response and Damage Control

This department handles all magical mishaps, accidents, and emergencies. They are the first responders when magic goes wrong, specializing in memory modification, reversing accidental magic, and creating plausible non-magical explanations for magical events witnessed by Muggles.
