Founder: Rowena Ravenclaw
Rowena Ravenclaw was one of the four founders of Hogwarts, renowned for her intelligence and creativity. According to legend, she created the ever-changing floor plan of Hogwarts and came up with the school's name after dreaming of a warty hog leading her to a cliff by the lake.
Her most prized possession was her diadem, a beautiful tiara said to grant wisdom to the wearer. The diadem was stolen by her daughter Helena (the Grey Lady) who fled to Albania. Rowena died of a broken heart, never seeing her daughter again. Centuries later, Tom Riddle found the diadem and turned it into a Horcrux.

House Ghost: The Grey Lady
Helena Ravenclaw, known as the Grey Lady, is Ravenclaw's house ghost. She is the daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw and has a tragic story. Jealous of her mother's intelligence, Helena stole Rowena's diadem and fled to Albania, hoping the diadem would make her wiser than her mother.
Rowena sent the Bloody Baron (who loved Helena) to find her. When Helena refused to return, he killed her in a rage, then killed himself. Helena has wandered as a ghost for centuries, eventually telling Harry where Tom Riddle hid the diadem-Horcrux.
