Effect: Levitation
Difficulty: Beginner
Description: Makes objects float and fly. One of first spells taught at Hogwarts. Requires swish-and-flick wand movement.

Destroys solid objects. Causes them to explode. Dangerous and destructive.

Creates fiery explosion. More violent than Reducto. Sets targets ablaze.
Sectumsempra
Effect: Cutting Curse
Slashes victim as if with invisible sword. Invented by Severus Snape. Extremely dangerous dark magic.
Levicorpus
Effect: Levitation Jinx
Dangles victim upside-down by ankle. Nonverbal jinx invented by Snape. Popular with Marauders.

Erases or modifies memories. Improper use can cause permanent damage. Hermione used on her parents.
Apparition
Type: Transportation Magic
Teleportation. Requires license (17+). Must focus on Destination, Determination, Deliberation. Risk of splinching.
Legilimens
Type: Mind Arts
Reads minds and emotions. Countered by Occlumency. Snape and Voldemort were masters.
Prior Incantato
Effect: Reverse Spell
Forces wand to show last spell cast. Used to identify wand's recent magical activity.
