Ginny met Harry at King's Cross. Became tongue-tied and shy around him. Her crush was obvious to everyone except Harry.
Chamber of Secrets
Ginny possessed by Tom Riddle's diary. Harry saved her from the Chamber. She was traumatized and embarrassed. Her crush intensified.
Growing Apart
Hermione advised Ginny to "give up and start seeing other people." Ginny dated Michael Corner, then Dean Thomas. Became more confident. Stopped being shy around Harry.
Harry Notices
Harry started seeing Ginny differently. She was funny, brave (fought at Department of Mysteries), good at hexes. No longer the shy little girl. Dating Dean Thomas.
Together at Last
Harry realized he had feelings. Jealous of Dean. Ginny broke up with Dean. Harry and Ginny kissed after Gryffindor won Quidditch Cup. Brief happy relationship. Harry broke up with her to protect her from Voldemort.
Separation
Harry on Horcrux hunt. Ginny back at Hogwarts. Ginny understood and supported his mission. Harry's Patronus was still a stag (like his father). Thought of her constantly.
Marriage
Reunited after Voldemort's defeat. Married. Had three children: James Sirius, Albus Severus, Lily Luna. Ginny played professional Quidditch, then became sports journalist. Harry became Auror, then Head of Magical Law Enforcement.
π Ron Weasley & Hermione Granger
Bickering to Forever
Started as antagonists. Ron mocked Hermione, she thought he was immature. Became best friends. Developed feelings over years. Constant bickering masked attraction. Finally got together during Battle of Hogwarts. Married with two children.
Bad Start
Ron: "She's a nightmare, honestly!" after Hermione corrected him on Levitation Charm. Hermione overheard, cried in bathroom. Ron and Harry saved her from troll. Became friends.
Growing Closer
Hermione petrified (Year 2) - Ron very worried. Hermione punched Malfoy (Year 3) - Ron impressed. Constant bickering but always made up. Best friends with Harry.
Jealousy Emerges
Yule Ball disaster. Ron expected Hermione to go with him, she went with Viktor Krum. Ron was furious and jealous. Accused her of "fraternizing with the enemy." Hermione: "Next time there's a ball, ask me before someone else does!"
Tension Builds
Hermione gave Ron a kiss on the cheek before Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw match. Ron played terribly because he was flustered. Hermione annoyed by his immaturity but clearly interested.
Lavender Brown Crisis
Ron dated Lavender to make Hermione jealous (and prove he was wanted). Hermione devastated. Invited Cormac McLaggen to Slughorn's party out of spite. Ron poisoned, nearly died. Hermione sobbed at his bedside. Ron muttered "Hermione" while unconscious. Broke up with Lavender.
The Breaking Point
Horcrux locket played on Ron's insecurities. Showed vision of Harry and Hermione together, mocking him. Ron abandoned them in rage and jealousy. Hermione devastated. Ron returned weeks later, saved Harry. Destroyed locket Horcrux. Hermione attacked him with fists and jinxes before forgiving him.
The Kiss
Ron: "We should tell the house-elves to get out. We don't want anymore Dobbies." Hermione, overcome with emotion at his compassion, kissed him. Finally together. Fought side-by-side in battle.
Marriage

Love is the Strongest Magic
The entire Harry Potter series centers on the power of love. Lily's love saved Harry. Harry's capacity to love was what made him stronger than Voldemort. The relationships - romantic and platonic - shaped every character's journey.
From Ron and Hermione's bickering to Harry and Ginny's understanding, from Snape's eternal devotion to Lupin and Tonks's acceptance of each other, love in all its forms drove the narrative. It was the one magic Voldemort could neither understand nor defeat.
"Do not pity the dead, Harry. Pity the living, and, above all, those who live without love."
β Albus Dumbledore
